The company "Web Server" announced the release of a new version of its Russian web server Angie PRO 1.2.0.

The updated version of Angie PRO includes several significant changes. In particular, the proxy module now allows for sharding (horizontal partitioning) of the cache, which enhances data caching efficiency, boosts performance, and simplifies scaling. There is now the ability to dynamically manage load balancing parameters without reloading the configuration, reducing the web server's downtime and simplifying its application in modern infrastructure. Active health checks have been added for proxied servers, helping to automatically optimize request distribution among servers and reduce latency. Additionally, the new version supports the modern HTTP/3 protocol.

As noted by the CEO of "Web Server," Zaur Abasmirzoev, the Angie PRO update is an important step for the company "Web Server" in developing its product and strengthening its position in both the Russian and foreign markets. "We continue to work on improving our product and providing the best solutions for our clients," emphasized Zaur Abasmirzoev.

Since the release of version 1.1.0, we have added the most requested dynamic modules such as:

  • auth-jwt. Implements client authorization by verifying the provided JSON Web Token (JWT).

  • cache-purge. Allows purging of FastCGI, proxy, SCGI, and uWSGI cache contents.

  • keyval. Enables the use of variables with values from key-value pairs.

  • lua. Allows the use of the Lua language in Angie configuration.

  • postgres. Includes direct support for PostgreSQL databases.

  • redis2. Adds Redis 2.0 protocol to HTTP upstreams.

Furthermore, the new release of Angie PRO 1.2.0 adds support for the operating system certified by FSTEC — Alt 8 SP (server). Additionally, Angie PRO is now available on Alma Linux versions 8 and 9, Alpine 3.18, CentOS versions 7, 8, and 9, Debian "bookworm," and Ubuntu 23.04 (Lunar Lobster).
