Version 1.8.1 of the Angie open-source web server and its commercial version Angie PRO has been released. This update addresses issues with server statistics zones, improves the ACME module for wildcard certificates, and includes critical fixes for HTTP/3.
The Angie open-source web server and its commercial version Angie PRO have been updated to version 1.8.1.
This release resolves a regression in the handling of server statistics zones that was introduced when support for variables in the status_zone directive was added.
It also fixes an issue in the ACME module functionality related to obtaining wildcard certificates, improving the reliability of certificate configuration.
Version 1.8.1 includes fixes for critical HTTP/3 issues that were backported from the unreleased nginx 1.27.4. Due to vendor policy changes (see commit), these fixes will only be available in nginx's main branch in a future release.
We acknowledge that releasing updates on the last working day of the year is less than ideal, but it was necessary to address identified issues and ensure stability.
