Web Server Angie PRO, developed by the former nginx team, has been included in the register of domestic software.

Web Server Angie PRO, developed by the former nginx team, has been included in the register of domestic software. The product entry has been added to the Unified Register of Russian Software for Electronic Computing Machines and Databases under the number No. 17604.

Today, Angie PRO is a key component for entire classes of software classified by the Government of the Russian Federation as critically important for the development of the country's economy and not replicable within the usual market mechanism — traffic balancers (replacement for Citrix ADC/Netscaler, Radware, F5 BIG-IP) and network infrastructure management monitoring systems.

"The inclusion of Angie PRO in the Register of Domestic Software will soon allow for the replacement of foreign solutions in several government agencies and state corporations in the country. Today, Angie PRO is also being tested by a number of large companies with the aim of transitioning to it in the near future," stated Zaur Abasmirzoev, CEO of the company "Web Server."

Previously, Angie PRO passed compatibility certification with the operating systems RED OS, Astra Linux Special Edition, and Alt Server 10. Thus, Angie PRO is the only product in its class that has confirmed compatibility with all three Russian operating systems.

By the end of 2023, an update is planned for the mechanisms of dynamic management of the configuration behavior of Angie PRO without stopping the server, management of application data caching for building CDN infrastructure, functionality for operation in cluster mode for highly available and high-performance configurations, support for the modern HTTP/3 protocol, and functionality for video content transmission, including live broadcasts, with the addition of new balancing methods, support for GOST encryption, and integration with cyberattack protection services.

The company "Web Server" also plans to create additional applications in the form of a unified interface for the Angie PRO cluster with metrics on the dashboard and a visual configuration editor for all installations.
